The March issue of the Maths Hubs programme magazine, Bespoke, has been published

The March issue of the Maths Hubs programme magazine, Bespoke, has been published, featuring case studies of how mathematics teaching for mastery is maturing in eight schools participating in Maths Hubs programme projects.

The magazine, distributed in hard copy form at events around the country, and online within the Maths Hubs programme website, also features an article that distinguishes between raw mathematical subject knowledge (the ability to ‘do’ maths) and the pedagogical subject knowledge required to help pupils learn mathematics.

In addition, there’s a report from a conference organised by three Maths Hubs in the Midlands, which brought together over a hundred local leaders of maths education (LLMEs).

Bespoke is published five times per school year, with the next issue due in the first half of the summer term.

The Maths Hubs programme is funded by the Department for Education and coordinated by the NCETM.
